Michael David Stinson
June 4, 1951 ~ June 2, 2017 (age 65) 65 Years OldMichael David Stinson, 65, of Kingwood, passed away Friday June 2, 2017 at a Houston area hospital. He was born June 4, 1951 in Orange, TX. Michael was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. He spent his entire career in logistics and never missed a day of work in 30 years. He was happy to retire. He had lots of hobbies, leatherworking, woodworking, and he was a blade smith. He would also collect rocks and polish them up to make crosses. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them fishing and to Cici’s Pizza Shop. He also enjoyed going to Luby’s Cafeteria with his wife. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Betty Stinson; and brother, Roger Dale Stinson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Suzanne Stinson of Kingwood; children, Mindy Stinson of Kingwood, and Chris Stinson and wife, Lacey of San Diego; grandsons, Parker Svatek of Kingwood, and Mark Svatek of Kingwood; sisters, Gloria Caillouet and husband, Ricky of Lumberton, and Linda Shelton and husband, David of Kountze; and numerous, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
His family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., officiated By Reverend Ellen Kent. Interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Shelton, Matt Shelton, Ricky Caillouet, Brian Caillouet, Johnny Scott, John Scott. Craig Greenfield will be an honorary pallbearer.
