Mark Chesser, Sr.

Mark Chesser, Sr., 54, of Vidor passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 10, 1963 in Vidor, TX. He was an entrepreneur when it came to his money. He was a talented artist, he could draw anything. He had a green thumb and he had the most elaborate garden. His yard was always perfect. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed canoeing, camping, fishing, and running a trot line. He was also a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is preceded in death by his step-father, Dan Doiron; brother, Guy Chesser; and mother of his child, Roggie Eastwood.

He is survived by his father, Harold Chesser and wife, Bilbe of Hemphill; mother, Sue Doiron of Vidor; son, Mark Chesser II and wife, Krystal of Vidor; brothers, Butch Chesser and wife, Martha of Vidor, Todd Chesser and wife, Reene of Vidor; sister, Sherrie Chesser of Lufkin; grandchildren, Weston Chesser, and Lilly Chesser, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday April 14, 2017 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend George Gau. Interment will follow at Eaves Cemetery in Gist.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Chesser II, Roger Manriguez, Daryl Pipes, Matthew Wood, Zack Bethel, and Zack Righter.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful people at Kindred Hospice and Providence Care Health Services, especially Destiny Mayhew, Faleena Smith, Shelby Cole, Sidnie Long, and Elizabeth Worthy.
