Marion Park

Marion Grounds Park born in Sherman, Texas May 13, 1918 to the Reverend Hargrove and Ombra Boswell Grounds went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 12, 2017. The daughter of a Methodist minister, Marion grew up in various Texas towns as her father moved around to pastor different churches. 

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alvis Chick Park, her son Richard Gale Park and her sister, Mary Helen Coleman.

Marion retired from Beaumont Independent School District where she taught home economics. After retirement Marion bought a truck and fifth wheel trailer and on her own, she traveled, eventually visiting each state. Marion loved the Lord, travel and believed deeply in the power of prayer.

Marion is survived by her daughter Joyce Kay Lisle and her husband Robert Andrew Lisle, her grandchildren Keith Lisle and his wife Deanna Lisle, Andrea Haskett and her husband Kevin Haskett, Richard Park and his wife Sarah Park, Spencer Park, seven great grandchildren, two nieces and five great nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at Laws Chapel in Atlanta, Texas at a later date.
