Linda Rose Dupuis

Linda Rose Dupuis, 68, of Mamou, Louisiana, passed away after a short battle with cancer, on January 20, 2015, in Lumberton, Texas. She was born on November 8, 1946, to Armand Prosper Landreneau and Agnes Manuel Landreneau, in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Linda Rose was a woman who loved to garden. She not only tended flower gardens but vegetable gardens as well. As a by-product of the vegetable gardens, Linda loved to cook! Meatball stew, gumbo and sauce picante are favorites of hers we’ll miss her not being here to make. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, friends and pets.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Paula Watts and husband, Joseph, of Jasper, Texas and Phyllis Peeler and husband, Chris, of Lumberton, Texas; son, Jeff Guillory and wife, Peggy, of Lumberton, Texas; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; “sister”, Faye Landreneau of Reddell, Louisiana; friends, Ken and Mona Berryhill of Mamou, Louisiana; dog, Chloe; and cats, Sam, Fat Cat, Smokey, and Sonny. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, James Linus Dupuis; parents; and brothers, Lee, Ray, and Ronald Landreneau.

Visitation with family and friends will be at Lumberton Family Funeral Home on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with her life honoring service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Cremation will be the final form of disposition and burial will take place in L'anse Meg Cemetery in Mamou, Louisiana, at a later date.
