Johnny Jackson

Johnny Elbert Jackson, 69, of Orange, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a lineman and member of IBEW Local 390. He loved tinkering on cars out in the yard. He was in the middle of fixing his 1976 Corvette Stingray. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed his time out on the water in his boat. He was a great family man and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Marion Jackson; siblings, Robert Jackson, Connie Jackson, J.C. Jackson, Dorothy Henry and Mildred McAlister.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Esther Jackson of Orange; children, Curtis Wayne Jackson, and wife Heather of Mauriceville, Valerie Ann Jackson, of Hemphill, Michael Ray Ferrell, Jr. and wife Byanna of Beaufort S.C., and Cheyenne Nicole Jackson and husband Josh Hardy  of Orange; grandchildren, Justin Jackson, and wife Jonette of Yuma, AZ, Harley Jackson, and wife Hannah of Jacksonville N.C., Joshua Jackson and wife Abby of Lumberton, Monica Jackson and husband, Dalton of Buna, Trevor Jackson of Burkville, and Jessica Nash of Vidor, Raeleigh Hardy of Orange; great grandchildren, Lea, Laranda, Levi, and Tatum; sisters, Loretta Phillips of Vidor, and Phylis Jackson of Mauriceville.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at Victory Life Church, 7708 N. Hwy 87, Orange, Texas, 77632, officiated by Chaplain Nick Morris.
