John Daniel Jones

John Daniel Jones “Dan”, 65, of Lumberton, Texas, passed away on January 1, 2017, in the presence of his wife and loved ones. Born February 8, 1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Jones lived a very fulfilled yet simple life. No one was a stranger to him; he could spark a conversation with anyone and make friends anywhere. This trait was fitting as he spent most of his adult life traveling around Texas working in the oil and gas industry. If he spoke once to you, you were a friend for life. His friends knew that he would be there for them anytime, day or night.

Son of the late Kirby and Helen Jones, he is survived by his best friend and wife, Trish Jones; daughters, Lindsay Woods and husband, Ross, and Kim Odom and husband, Brad; grandchildren, Joshua and Addison Odom. In addition, he will be missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Ray McNames.

Honorary pallbearers are David Cook, Allan Coe, Ross Woods, Brad Odom, Donald Randall, Brandon Jacobs, and Jack Parham.
