Jessie Lovelle Rozell

Jessie Lovelle Rozell, 79, of Lumberton, Texas went home peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.  Lovelle was born on December 16, 1938 in Houston, Texas to Jesse James and Gurthie Ree Scott.  Lovelle would marry her soulmate, Robert “Rozy” Rozell, at the age of 16 and they shared over 58 years of marriage; they were inseparable.

Lovelle enjoyed being outdoors, she really loved to mow the grass; they had five acres, and at one time, she mowed the entire property with a push mower.  Lovelle was feisty and fiercely independent; after Robert died, she stayed in their home on their property.  She was a good mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be deeply missed by those she loved.

Lovelle is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale “Rozy” Rozell; and a son, Dennis Rozell.

Lovelle is survived by a son, Tim Rozell, and wife, Debbie, of Sour Lake, TX; a daughter, Melissa Tweedel, and husband, Terry, of Lumberton, TX; six grandchildren, Jason, Timothy, Chelsea, Holly, Jessica, and Robert; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Chapel at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.  Life Honoring Services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:00am in the Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow immediately at Leatherwood Cemetery, Loeb, Texas.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be, Terry Tweedel, Robert Tweedel, Timothy Rozell, Josh Drake, and Jake Landry.
