Jean "Nana" Taylor

Jean “Nana” Taylor, 78, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was an avid book reader. She never met a stranger, and her home was always open to everyone. She was a best friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Selma Evitts; sister, Gussiemae Meadows; brother, L.R. Evitts and great grandson, Skylar Thomas.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri Moulder and husband Jay of Woodville, Susan Rice and husband Larry of Vidor, Traci Taylor of Lumberton, and Kayla Phelps and husband Seth of Lumberton; sister, T.J. Forsyth and son Cody of Warren; grandchildren, Bo Rice, Kellie Hardy and Tosheia Rapp; great grandchildren, John Bouse, Jordan Thomas, Alexz Rapp, Karl Hardy, Brynleigh Rice; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 13, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at 3:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Chaplin Richard Morales officiating.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jay Moulder, Cody Forsyth, Bo Rice, Chad Swearigen, Karl Hardy, Larry Gibson, James Goodman and Trae Phelps.
