Frances Lorane Gootee, 75, of Vidor, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015. She loved gardening and taking care of her flowers. She was a great cook, especially her baby back ribs when she would make her own sauce. She was a real sweetheart. She worked for 30 years side by side with her husband driving trucks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Lola Batchelor; siblings, Evelyn, Vivian, Luther Jr. and Ted.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert Gootee of Vidor; daughter, Kathryn Arminski and husband James of Rochester Hills, MI; sisters, Barbara Barringer and husband Phil of Taylor, MI and Velma High of Fondulac, WI and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following her wishes, she will be cremated. There are no planned services at this time.
