Elaine Glenn

Elaine Glenn, 68, of Vidor, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.  Elaine was born in Beaumont, Texas to W C and Rita Mae Abernathy on April 5, 1949 and she grew up in Vidor and would graduate from Vidor High school in 1968. She married on July 4, 1970 to Danny Glenn, and they were married 47 years. Elaine loved to do crafts, like making wreaths, crocheting small hats and taking to the Preemie unit for the babies; and she liked to make ball point pens. She was a very sweet Christian lady who loved to go to Church and read her Bible. She loved her family, especially her grand babies and her bird and dogs.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, W C and Rita Mae Abernathy; sisters, Eileen Abernathy, and Gail Franklin.

She is survived by her brothers, Buddy Abernathy, from Copperas Cove, Texas, Frank Abernathy, from Vidor, Texas, Donald Abernathy, from Vidor, Texas,  and Kevin Abernathy, from Orange, Texas: sisters, Billie Jo Ledger, from Vidor, Texas, Anna Stevens, from Kountze, Texas, and Tamara Oldstein, from Gulf Port, Mississippi; children, Theresa Ann Glenn of Pineland, Texas, Danny Ray Glenn, Jr. of Vidor, Texas; two grandchildren, Kayla Welch and Bryan Welch; and three great grandchildren.

The Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Vidor First Church of the Nazarene, 370 N. Dewitt Road, Vidor, Texas 77662, with a life Honoring Funeral Service at 12:00pm.  Interment will follow immediately at Restlawn Memorial Park, 2725 N. Main Street, Vidor, TX 77662.
