Daniel Gray Koger

Daniel “Dan” Gray Koger, 43, of Beaumont, TX unexpectedly passed away on July 23, 2015 at Christus St Elizabeth. He was born on February 10, 1972 on a military base in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, then he lived in Germany until the age of 3 when he moved to Florida. 

Dan is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Lisa Koger; sons Levi Kelley, Davis Koger and Johnathan (JT) Koger; daughter, Lindsey Kelley; parents, Linda and Rick Davis; sister, Cynthia Middleton; mother-in-law, Karen Theriot; father-in-law, Pat Theriot; sister-in-law, Amber Mendoza and husband Michael, sister-in-law, Tara Lyons and husband Mark, 3 nieces and 3 nephews, 1 great niece and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his best friend of 33 years, Eric Tyron.

He was employed with Republic Services as a sales representative. He was also a police officer for Lake County Sherriff Department in Florida before moving to Texas and working as sales representative for many different companies and also as an EMT in Jefferson County for many years. Dan was a loving husband, father, son, and friend. He always went far and above to put his family first. Dan never meet a stranger and always had a way to make people smile and laugh without even trying. He loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed playing golf and loved watching his favorite teams: San Antonio Spurs and Houston Texans. He was a devoted Christian, and an avid member of Impact Church in Beaumont, TX.

His family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday. July 31, 2015 at Impact Church. The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Impact Church of Beaumont, located at 4450 Crow Rd, Beaumont, TX, 77706, officiated by Reverend Keith Herrin and Chaplain Skip Straus.

Honorary pallbearers are Levi Kelley, Michael Mendoza, Eric Tryon, Zachary Lyons, Patrick Theriot and Mark Crowder, Jr.
