Daniel Reed Kincaid

Daniel Reed Kincaid, age 91, fell asleep in death on Saturday, September 30, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife of 67 years, and their one and only son, Robert. 

Dan was born August 11, 1926 to Walter Lee Kincaid and Laura Reeda Harris in Warren, Texas.  He was a faithful servant of Jehovah God for 49 years, and loved hunting, fishing and getaways into the woods. He had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.  Dan also was a Navy Veteran.  His beautiful wife loved him so much because from the beginning, he showed his love to his in-laws and extended family. His family admired his example as a faithful, loving husband, setting the example for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Daniel, the man of sass and vinegar, laughter, hugs with both arms around the neck, a true friend to some, and a wise counselor to others. Always the boss of everyone. A true lover of God's promises and a faithful keeper of His Word.  He was an example of love and sacrifice for his family.  He taught us by example and taught his son to do the same. Paw Paw, we will see you when all is new.

To his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Daniel was the second man they ever loved. They are so blessed that he lived to see all of his great grandchildren born. He was a proud Paw Paw who provided for this family and showed unconditional love. His family will always remember Daniel as a good strong man, handsome and loving, and on his day of passing, they lost a piece of their heart.

Kincaid and wife Carlyn of Corpus Christi, TX; sisters, Pat Cooper of Lumberton, TX, Johnnye F. Corley and husband Ernest of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Jared L. Kincaid of Lumberton, TX, Dana C. Ensign and husband Cody of Aransas Pass, TX, Kendall N. Thomas and husband Braeden of Corpus Christi, TX, and Caitlin Vargas and husband Josh of Corpus Christi, TX; great grandchildren, Gage Vargas, Nataleigh Thomas, Sailor Thomas, Lila Rae Vargas; also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday October 2, 2017 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 Main St. Lumberton, TX 77657.with an evening talk at 7:00 pm by speaker, Brother Kevin Moore. Daniel's life honoring graveside service will be Tuesday October 3, 2017 10:00 am at Williams Cemetery :Warren, TX.
