Carter Ward Thomas

Carter Ward Thomas, 21, of Henderson Nevada, passed away April 10, 2017.  He was born February 17, 1996.  He was an amazing young man.  Carter had a huge heart and loved to make people smile and laugh.  Even at the worst of times he could always make you feel better and he gave the best hugs.  His witty comebacks, comments and his laugh easily made people laugh so hard they cried and their stomach’s hurt.  He was so protective of those he loved and cared for and would have gone above and beyond to make sure they were safe.  Carter never asked for much.  He was not materialistic but he was so honestly grateful for anything you gave him.  He enjoyed playing video games with his friends and was extremely good at it.  He was studying to be an EMT and would have been amazing at it making the world a better place.  He was extremely loved and will be infinitely missed by family, friends and everyone whose life he touched.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelyn Sheffield and Great Grandmother, Helen Boudreaux.

He is survived by his parents Jim and Lois Thomas of Henderson NV; Papa, Howard Sheffield of Henderson, NV; Granny, Marion Thomas of Butte La Rose, LA; Grandfather, Barney LeBlanc of Cecilia, LA; Uncle, Donnie Thomas of Butte La Rose, LA; Grandfather,  Carroll Thomas Sr. of Cashada, LA., and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial gathering is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
