Carolyn Jean Ray Johnson

Carolyn Jean Ray Johnson, 76, of Beaumont Colony, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017. She was born January 30, 1941 in Bloomburg, TX. She worked hard and raised five kids on her own. Everyone whoever met her, loved her and she adopted everyone she ever met. She had the biggest heart in the world. She was always there for her kids, no matter what.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lee Ray and Ester Vivian Hollis; sister, June Ray; and brothers, Arthur Eugene Ray, and Dan Hollis.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Chambless of Beaumont Colony; children, Odis Alvin Trull and wife, Nancy of Silsbee, Rickey Lee Trull and wife, Ellen of Silsbe, Rhonda McAdams and husband, Steve of Lumberton, Robert Arlin Trull and wife, Paula of Beaumont, and Thomas Kirk Johnson and wife Heather of Ellisville, MS; siblings, Don Ray and wife, Earline of Sulphur, LA, Edna Fay Varnada of Franklinton, LA, Wanda Lou Crappell of Morgan City, LA, Bobbie Joe Ray and wife Vesta of New Iberia, LA, Joan Menard of Leesville, LA, and Ronnie Lynn Ray of Churchpoint, LA; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.

Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Henry Johnson, Robert Arlin Trull, Trace Farnie, Thomas Kirk Johnson, Jeff Walters, Jr., and Larry Guillory.
