Barbara Ann Ross, 77, of Winnie, Texas passed on October 6, 2017 after a brief illness with brain cancer.  She was born on August 4, 1940 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Rufus Emmett Bailey and Dorothy Mae Cox.  Barbara loved being outside gardening, tending plants and being around animals, especially horses.  She enjoyed trails rides and riding in the annual Palo Pinto County Rodeo parade through town.  When she was young, she worked at the famous Baker Hotel.  She retired from Edo-Air and S-Tec and moved to Winnie to be with her kids.  She taught Sunday School and was church treasurer for many years at North Side Baptist Church.  She had a passion for Bible studies and was a member of First Baptist Church of Winne.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Emmett Bailey and Dorothy Mae Cox; her step-father, James Light; a sister, Rita Gann; and a niece, Donna Meeks.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Debbie Minter, and husband, Danny; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Erin, Shawn, Jacob, and Jareth Barrows, Kelly and JC Inman, Jay, Kelly, Aubrey, and Emily Minter, Cole Minter; a brother, Jim Light, and wife, Claudia; nieces and nephews and their families, Jamie, and Michael Lovell, Lisa Glover, Lindsey Light, Royce, Nikki, Blakely, and Preslee Light, James Meeks, Danielle and Josh Green, Patti Turner, Ashley and Sterling Lovell, Jessica and Bill Boger, Mike Lovell, Shalynn Robison, and Rendon Lovell.
