Amanda Alexander

Amanda Alexander, age 38, of Bridge City, TX, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017. She was born to Sarah Linda Kerbow and John Thomas Duplonty Sr. on September 27, 1978 in DeRidder, LA.

Amanda Alexander was a loving, kind-hearted person. Her life was devoted to the care of those around her, especially her family. She especially loved children, and would always do her best to spoil them when she could. Her nieces and nephews were always ready to go to “Mimi and Bull’s House”, as she and her husband were affectionately known. With Amanda, it was about doing for others. She was a wonderful cook, often cooking for her whole family. Amanda never cooked just enough, but would make sure that there was more than enough for everyone to enjoy. She will be missed and remembered by all that knew her.

Left to honor her memory is her loving husband, Glen Oscar Alexander; daughter, Kayla Nicole Alexander; sons, David Lane Alexander of Bridge City, Glen Earlie Alexander of Deridder, LA and Dustin Clyde Alexander of Baton Rouge, LA; step-mother, Jerrie Duplonty of Deridder, LA; sisters, Belinda Duplonty of Alabama, Melissa Chevalier and husband, Ken, of Bridge City, TX, Ealene Voigt of Kentucky and Pearl Ortiz of New Mexico; nieces, Kylee, Alexis, Sarah, and Sidney; nephew, Kayden; and a host of family and friends.

Amanda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Thomas Duplonty, Jr.

Visitation with family and friends will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2017, at Lumberton Family Funeral Home at 766 S. Main St. Lumberton, TX. Amanda’s life honoring service will follow on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., also at the funeral home, with Bro. Jerry Key officiating.
