David Wayne Kirkendall

David Wayne Kirkendall, 42, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Houston, Passed away Thursday February 16, 2017. David was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL, November 11, 1974. He was a kind man with a big heart. He was very generous and always welcoming people into his home and feeding them. He loved nature and being outside camping. He enjoyed S.C.U.B.A. diving. He liked to watch action movies to relax. He also loved learning about new things and watching the Discovery Channel. He was a good man and he loved his mother and grandmothers. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Kirkendall; mother, Patricia Brewer; step-father, Kendall Brewer; aunts, JoAnn Sinna, and Gladys Croft; half-sister, Lisa Brewer

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Bedelia Kirkendall of Baton Rouge, LA; step-children, Tracy Oaks of Jackson City, TN; Jack Hardman of Houston, TX; step-mother, Alice Kirkendall of Hanceville, AL; half-sister, Veronica Staggs and husband, David of Middletown, OH; half-brother, Tim Kirkendall of Jacksonville, FL; step brother, Robert Brewer of Middletown, OH; Uncles, Doc Watt and Billy Turner; step- grandchildren, Frankie and Walker of Jackson City, TN; Michael Meadows of Jacksonville, NC; Clayton Oaks of Jacksonville City, TN; and numerous cousins.

The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
